Course description

An apprenticeship is a practical, hands on training program where you are paid while you learn. As an apprentice, you are contracted to an employer to learn all about your chosen trade and become qualified in that trade. In Western Australia apprenticeships are delivered under a competency based flexible training system. Workplace and off-the-job training and assessment procedures have been introduced based on the skills an apprentice should acquire over the term of the apprenticeship.

Course duration

Painting and decorating apprenticeship take four years to complete. This includes off-the-job training.

MPA Skills is considered by many to be the best in the industry. We have a reputation for delivering the best training and taking out the uncertainty of starting an apprenticeship by employing apprentices directly through our vast network of host employers. In addition, apprentices are assigned field officers who are painters with years of experience. They will guide the apprentices throughout their apprenticeship to ensure they are getting the training as per the industry standards.

The Painting Apprenticeship is offered at our Maylands Campus.
